1. Currency and Pricing:
- All prices displayed on the website are in EUR (Euros) and represent the final cost to the customer. The total price includes delivery fees, VAT-equivalent amounts, and any applicable import duties or taxes. The price you see at checkout is the total amount you will pay, with no additional fees upon delivery.
- Cotswold Cameras is not VAT registered, and as such, we do not issue VAT invoices for reclaiming VAT on business purchases. Since we are registered offshore, the VAT component is not itemized or refundable.
2. VAT and Tax Policy:
- As Cotswold Cameras is not VAT registered, we cannot provide VAT receipts. The prices on the Website are inclusive of all taxes, duties, and VAT-equivalent amounts required by law. No additional VAT will be added at checkout.

- Some products may be considered grey market items, meaning they’re authentic and brand new but may not come with a local manufacturer’s warranty. However, all imported products, including grey market items, are fully covered under the Cotswold Cameras’ 3-year warranty, which applies only to lenses and cameras, ensuring protection in the event of manufacturer defects.
5. Product Descriptions and Specifications:

Shipping and Delivery

- Cotswold Cameras ships its stock from outside the EU. Our standard delivery time to EU countries is between 7-14 working days after payment is successfully processed.
- Delivery times may vary depending on stock availability and the destination country. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days after payment is confirmed.

4. Delivery Address and Confirmation:

- Cotswold Cameras does not deliver to PO Box addresses or military addresses unless this has been agreed upon in advance.

- If there are any issues with the delivery, such as missing or undelivered items despite the tracking showing "Delivered", please contact us within 7 days from the date the tracking shows delivery. We will work with the courier to investigate the issue and find a resolution.
C. Damaged or Missing Items:
- If your item arrives damaged or if any items are missing, you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the delivery. We will promptly work to resolve the issue.
5. Delayed or Lost Packages:
A. Delivery Delays:
- If your package is delayed, we will work with the courier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please allow for extra time during peak seasons, adverse weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
B. Lost Packages:
- If your package is suspected to be lost, we will work with the courier to conduct an investigation. This process can take some time, and we will keep you informed with updates throughout.

6. Shipping Costs and Free Shipping Exclusions:

Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. For orders shipping to these countries, a shipping fee will be applied at checkout. Please check the exact shipping cost at checkout, as the fee and country list are subject to updates.
Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellation or Change of Item Before Dispatch:

8. Restocking Fee for Used, Damaged, or Research Purchases:
A. Used or Damaged Returns:
- If any returned product is found to be in used condition, has damaged packaging, or is missing original accessories, we reserve the right to charge a 30% restocking fee. This helps cover depreciation in value, administrative, and handling costs.
- Examples of used-condition include the removal of protective seals, visible signs of wear, missing or damaged accessories, or any firmware/software modifications.
B. Restocking Fee for Research Purchases:
- On occasion, companies and their employees may purchase products from us for research or evaluation purposes. In such cases, if the items are returned, we reserve the right to charge a 30% restocking fee, along with the original delivery cost.
- By purchasing for research purposes, you agree to these terms. This policy does not apply to regular consumers returning products in original, unused condition within the 14-day return period.
C. Refund Process:
- If a product is returned in used or damaged condition, we will inspect it to assess its market value. Based on this, we will deduct the restocking fee from the final refund. Additional deductions may apply for damaged packaging or missing items.
D. Exclusions for New/Unused Returns:
- Customers returning products in their original new and unused condition within the 14-day return period will not be subject to a restocking fee.
Warranty Coverage
1. Cotswold Cameras Warranty:
- We provide a 3-year warranty for all lenses and cameras purchased through Cotswold Cameras. As these are imported products, this warranty is managed by us, not the original manufacturer, to ensure your products are covered throughout the warranty period.
2. Optional 5-Year Extended Warranty:
- Customers have the option to extend the standard 3-year warranty to a total of 5 years for an additional EUR 119. This extended warranty offers the same coverage as the standard warranty but extends the protection period by an additional 2 years.
- The 5-year extended warranty must be purchased at the same time as the product(s) in the same order. It cannot be added after the order has been placed or once the product(s) has been delivered.
3. Non-Transferable Warranty:
- The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless explicit authorization is given by Cotswold Cameras.
4. Warranty Duration:
- The 3-year warranty period begins on the date of delivery, as confirmed by the courier’s tracking system, proof of delivery, or any other valid courier-provided confirmation.
5. Manufacturer Defects Only:
- This warranty covers only defects in materials and workmanship directly attributable to the manufacturer. In such cases, repairs or replacements will be offered at our discretion.
6. Exclusions from Warranty
The warranty does not cover the following:
- We do not guarantee the firmware or software version pre-installed on the products.
B. Third-Party Lens Focusing Issues:
- Calibration may be required for third-party lenses (e.g., Tamron, Sigma, Tokina) to function properly with your camera, and this is not considered a defect.
C. Wear and Tear:
- Regular wear and tear, such as sensor/viewfinder dust, hot or dead pixels, or degradation of ports, battery covers, and other parts due to usage, are not covered after 14 days from delivery.
D. Accidental, Physical Damage or Non- Physical Damage:
- Any damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, water, fire, or unauthorized modifications/repairs will not be covered.
7. Initiating Warranty Repairs:
- Warranty repairs can be conducted at our authorized repair centers or any service center of your choosing. We will work with you to find the best option to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Any issue reported after the 14-day return period will be handled as a warranty claim. Refunds are only possible within the initial 14-day return period.
8. Factory Reset After Repair:
- Repairs may require resetting the product to factory settings. Cotswold Cameras is not responsible for the loss of settings, configurations, or data. Customers are advised to back up their data before sending the product for repair.
9. Pre-Approval for Repairs:
- All repairs require pre-approval from Cotswold Cameras. Any repairs conducted without prior approval may not be covered under the warranty.
10. Shipping for Warranty Repairs:
- The customer is responsible for shipping costs when sending products for warranty repairs. We recommend using an insured, trackable shipping service to ensure the safety of your item during transit. Cotswold Cameras is not liable for any loss or damage during shipping.
11. Repair, Replacement, or Refund:
- Depending on the nature of the defect, we reserve the right to repair, replace, or refund the product. The final decision will be at our discretion.
12. Non-Repairable Products:
- If a product is deemed irreparable and is no longer in production, we reserve the right to provide a replacement with similar specifications or offer a refund to enable the purchase of a comparable product. If a comparable product is unavailable, we reserve the right to issue a refund of the original product."
Membership and Loyalty Points Scheme
Cotswold Cameras offers a Membership and Loyalty Points Scheme, where customers can earn points on purchases and redeem them for discounts on future orders. To take advantage of this scheme, members must agree to the Membership and Loyalty Points Scheme Terms of Services, which are separate from these general Terms & Conditions.

Limitation of Liability

- Cotswold Cameras will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to, loss of revenue, missed deadlines, or any costs incurred due to delays in delivery. While we strive to deliver on time, certain external factors such as courier delays, customs clearance issues, or unforeseen circumstances may affect delivery schedules. We are not responsible for any losses caused by such delays.
2. Product Usage and Third-Party Repairs:
- We are not liable for damages caused by the improper use of products, or for any damage resulting from third-party repairs or unauthorized modifications. Our warranty covers manufacturer defects, but improper handling, wear and tear, or damage due to accidents are not covered, and we will not be held responsible for issues arising from such events.
3. Errors and Inaccuracies on the Website:
- Occasionally, there may be information on the Cotswold Cameras website that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, or availability. We reserve the right to correct any such errors or inaccuracies and to change or update information at any time without prior notice, including after an order has been submitted.
- If you find that a product does not match its description or specifications due to one of these errors, you may return the product under our Returns & Refunds Policy. Please note that we are not liable for any issues or losses arising from these inaccuracies, and any inconvenience caused is addressed through our return process.

- Our liability in all circumstances is limited to the purchase price of the product in question. Cotswold Cameras will not be responsible for any damages exceeding the value of the product purchased.

Restocking Fees for Research Purchases

- This policy applies to companies or employees purchasing products for research, evaluation, or similar purposes. If the items are returned, a restocking fee may be applied.
2. Restocking Fee:
- A 30% restocking fee, along with the original delivery cost, will be charged for any returned products purchased for research or evaluation purposes. This fee helps cover administrative, handling, and restocking expenses.
3. Exclusions for Regular Consumers:
- Regular consumers purchasing items for personal use are not subject to this restocking fee. If goods are returned in their original, unused condition within the 14-day return period, no restocking fee will be applied.
